The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is a great option if you're looking to buy a mid-priced robot vacuum and mop. It has a great mopping capabilities, but is lacking some of the advanced features found in its more expensive counterpart.
In tests it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats from carpets with a medium-pile. However, like cheaper models, it doesn't use LIDAR to help you map your home.
iRobot Roomba s9+
The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top-rated robot vacuums. It has a lot of features and impressive cleaning power, such as the dirt compartment built into the base of charging. The robot will learn your habits of cleaning, and suggest automatic schedules to provide you with the ultimate hands-free cleaning experience.
The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once the system is setup you can begin the automated cleaning with a single button. You can choose a general clean that focuses on the removal of larger debris such as rice and cereal. Or you can select two detailed mappings to ensure that your home is cleaned thoroughly.
This robot vac performs well on floors that are unfinished and carpet with a low pile. It is able to pick up pet hair and sucks big objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with carpets that are high-pile or plush however iRobot claims that future models will be more efficient.
The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that focuses on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that uses a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes that this will allow it to fit into walls and furniture. It's a nice improvement over the hockey puck-like design of robovacs, but we found it to be incrementally better than circular models.
iRobot also claims that the S9+ comes with an advanced filtering system that blocks microscopic dust particles and allergens from circulating in your home. It's a nice claim but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price cost.
Its smart navigation system utilizes sensors to keep track of the arrangement of your home and vSLAM to map the interior of your home. It then cleans your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, and establish virtual boundary markers, so it knows to avoid areas that require extra attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
Roborock Q Revo is a robotic that combines vacuuming and mopping. Its vacuum settings are just as good as those on higher-end models. The mopping system is superior - its spinning pads clean your floors more effectively than the vibrating pads.
It's only downside is the lack of a second brush for deeper cleaning. But that's not a big deal for those who want to own one of the top robots on the market. The dust tank on the robovac is bigger than most of its competitors, and filling it up only takes two or three times, even when you've got a lot of dirt.
In terms of the mopping device, I was impressed by its ability to scrub off tough dirt from my floors. The two lowest mopping settings that are less powerful than high-powered settings, produce minimal noise, meaning you can work or even watch television without being distracted. It will gently hit furniture or walls and then move away when it encounters one.
What distinguishes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed robot vacuum deals to operate almost autonomously with very little need for human intervention. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that automatically transfers physical trash to the bin hidden in the background and cleans and drys mop pads and replenishes its clean water tank. The app will only alert you if something is wrong, such as the water tank being empty or a cancelled vacuuming session due to a full bin.
You can also create and combine rooms to modify how the Q Revo manages your home. This feature is helpful if you have different flooring in different areas of your home or if you need to regularly get rid of clutter like clothes, toys, and books. The robot vacuum was also one of the top performers in my tests cleaning up debris from carpets as well as hardwood floors on the first go. It is able to vacuum up wet spills. I recommend drying the area with a towel prior to sending it in.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a high-end robot vacuum and mop combo and more. It has a rotating mop and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It is similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has an auto-cleaning station that automatically washes and cleans mop pads to keep them clean and ready for reuse. It also features a new sensor system that can better detects obstacles, granting it the ability to prevent falling over furniture or other objects.
The most notable improvement to the ECOVACS The X1 Deebot is the sleeker, more modern design. This is thanks to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. While still quite big--it's over two feet tall and deep and weighs in excess of four pounds--the robot itself and its base are less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.
This model is more efficient than the X1 as it charges faster and cleans 1,500 square feet in a single charge. And it has a larger dustbin that is more durable to hold more debris which makes it easier to empty when required.
The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant and an app that is functional even when you're at home. It also comes with more mopping options and an intelligent routing feature which allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead just following a set path.
The X2 Omni is the top mopping robot. Its mop pads that rotate clean tough stains and its motor generates lots of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding, and it also increases suction when it detects carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It has a large rechargeable battery that lasts up to seven days. The mopping mode of the robot is also powerful.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a premium model that offers a number of features that aren't typically found on robots in this price range. It is able to create detailed floor maps and detect various flooring types. It's also one of the only robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These features are great, but they also push the L10s into the class of luxury. This could mean it's more expensive than what homeowners want.
Created to look like a contemporary floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device with an elegant white finish highlighted by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a large bumper that helps protect furniture and the vacuum from damage when moving through the home. Sensors are hidden behind the front panel, which helps the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top, there's one button that serves as the on/off switch. By pressing this button, you can activate the vacuum, and clicking it again will shut off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The circular menu located in the center of the control panel allows users to select cleaning options or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons open the settings of the app where you can alter the way the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.
Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technology to map out your house. This helps the robot clean and mop efficiently, without getting stuck. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and identify them and avoid them, which is a great feature for homes with pets or small children.
The L10s Ultra is a powerful vacuum cleaner, removing 98.4 percent of debris from our test on hard floors and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice staining. Its mops are efficient, clearing 98.4% of debris on our wood, tile and carpet tests. It was not as efficient in removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oatmeal from the carpet.
